Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to solder, braise, and perform mechanical repairs on various components of refrigerated units.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma, or relevant experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience with Carrier, Thermon King, or similar refrigerated units.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have all around skills and be able to make minor electrical, plumbing, a/c, painting, wallpaper and carpentry repairs.
  • Must possess a high level of accuracy and neatness.
  • Must be flexible to work overnight and pm shifts as needed

Nice To Haves

  • EPA certification for handling refrigerants is strongly preferred
  • ASE certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on refrigerated units according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system issues, including starting and charging systems, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and refrigerant lines.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, state and federal safety.
