About The Position

The PM Mechanic position at Nemacolin is an integral part of the Engineering Team. The Technician performs multi-skilled duties in the maintenance and repair of resort buildings, off-campus housing systems, and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and other associates is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend duty.
  • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
  • Requires a minimum of three years of general building maintenance experience or equivalent technical training.
  • The equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Ability to effectively use computer, cell phone, and technology apps. to request, receive and process work orders.
  • Use of respirators may be required for certain tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA certification would be preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides a variety of general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties as well as inspections, servicing, repair, and overhaul of equipment for resort satellite buildings.
  • Works independently coordinating daily workflow in maintaining assigned building projects.
  • Prioritizes repair requests and plans work to ensure necessary parts are available and tasks are completed quickly and efficiently.
  • Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly including ice machines, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC units/equipment such as filters and condensate pans & drains and belts & motors.
  • May be required to respond to 24-hour emergency calls for assigned work area to perform emergency building or equipment repairs during off-duty hours using a vehicle, telephone, hand, power and specialty tools and necessary materials.
  • Receives and reviews work orders/requests to determine, estimated cost and man-hour requirements. Requisitions and/or purchase supplies and materials.
  • Perform prescribed maintenance checks as scheduled.
  • Incumbents may perform any combination of the essential job functions related or unrelated as required or assigned by the Vice President of Engineering or designee per Engineering team duties, may include but not limited to; snow removal, Manager Plus system, preventative maintenance program, rotating shift or any other unrelated Engineering job functions.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
