About The Position

We are looking for a Mechanic Millwright to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. This role involves installing, moving, reconstructing, repairing, and rebuilding machines and major site equipment, requiring planning and improvisation of methods. Responsibilities include day-to-day repair, modification, and/or replacement of Test Loops, as well as performing PM work that includes laser alignment. The role also requires machining repair parts as needed and operating various machine tools.

Requirements

High School graduate plus completion of a four-year Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship or a two-year Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology
Four years’ experience working in the Mechanic Millwright repair field.
Prior machining experience, such as lathe, milling machine, boring mill, etc.
Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

Install, move, reconstruct, repair and rebuild machines and major site equipment requiring planning and improvisation of methods.
Perform day-to-day repair, modification and/or replacement of Test Loops.
Conduct PM work including laser alignment.
Machine repair parts as required.
Operate a lathe and milling machine, and required machinist equipment.
Use department communication devices.
Operate all types of machine tools, such as, but not limited to conventional equipment, numerical-controlled equipment, boilers, pumps, and all types of raw materials, i.e., structural steel material, bar and flat sock, soldering and other metal joining materials.
