About The Position
We are looking for a Mechanic Millwright to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. This role involves installing, moving, reconstructing, repairing, and rebuilding machines and major site equipment, requiring planning and improvisation of methods. Responsibilities include day-to-day repair, modification, and/or replacement of Test Loops, and performing PM work that includes laser alignment. The role also involves machining repair parts as required.
Requirements
- High School graduate plus completion of a four-year Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship or a two-year Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology
- Four years’ experience working in the Mechanic Millwright repair field.
- Prior machining experience, such as lathe, milling machine, boring mill, etc.
- Candidates must be US citizens.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Install, move, reconstruct, repair and rebuild machines and major site equipment requiring planning and improvisation of methods.
- Day-to-day repair, modification and/or replacement of Test Loops.
- PM work includes laser alignment.
- Machine repair parts as required.
- Operate a lathe and milling machine, and required machinist equipment.
- Use department communication devices.
