About The Position

Entry Level, works within the production department to gain understanding of the fundamental principles and concepts. Provides hands on labor. Participates in subject matter training as required to gain basic skills. Mechanical, structural, and hydraulic assembly and installation of motion, visual, control loading, secondary control, hydraulic power unit, and hydraulic plumbing systems. Installation of simulators an associated equipment in house and in the field. Assist Facility Engineers with liaison with Site personnel.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Windows Office software and Syteline.
  • Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.
  • Forklifts and aerial lifts, rigging equipment and methods.
  • Power and hand tools, fabricating equipment.
  • Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to read, speak, or write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Able to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group presentations.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; Able to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver’s License, where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install simulator mechanical, structural, and high pressure hydraulic systems in house and in the field.
  • Assist Facility Engineer by perform site survey of mechanical interfaces and liaison with site personnel.
  • Assist Project Coordination Engineers with site liaison for installations requirements.
  • Determine rigging methods and procedures for relatively large and/or heavy assemblies, and implement and accomplish the safe completion of the lifting task.
  • Know the load bearing properties of ropes, cables, hoists and cranes.
  • Perform initial check out, repair, and upgrade of mechanical, visual, and all hydraulic systems.
  • Fabricate structural and enclosure assemblies, hydraulic hoses, steel tubing, and bracketry when necessary.
  • Verify accuracy and interface of visual, motion, and structural components per project requirements.
  • Determine tools and equipment needed for assembly and installation tasks.
  • Required to direct and or coordinate outside crews (riggers, welders, plumbers, electricians).
  • Extensive travel and overtime may be required.
  • Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.

  • Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of FSI materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FSI products.

  • Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
