About The Position
Wasatch County Solid Waste SSD seeks a Full-Time Mechanic II (Grade N). This position performs skilled journey-level tasks related to the preventative and routine maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of district diesel and gas equipment.
Requirements
- Equivalent to a high school diploma
- Two (2) years vocational certifications in auto mechanics, diesel/heavy equipment service work, and welding
- Four (4) years formal work experience performing automotive/heavy equipment mechanical duties
- CDL Class A Driver's License preferred or obtained within first 6 months of hire
- Job related education and/or experience may be combined to equal total education/experience requirements
