About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal mechanic training program or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in vehicle or equipment maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and mechanical repair equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Accurately diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs that restore equipment functionality.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment is essential for efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards ensure that all work is performed reliably and securely, minimizing risks and downtime.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from a recognized automotive or mechanical trade organization (e.g., ASE certification).
• Experience working with heavy-duty vehicles or specialized machinery.
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic systems and software.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Certification and experience with computerized systems, enhance the ability to handle complex repairs and adapt to evolving technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on vehicles and mechanical equipment to identify issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tire rotations.
• Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and develop repair strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during repair and maintenance activities.
• Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs efficiently and effectively.
