Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, understand mechanical symbols and use hand tools related to the job.
  • Ability to analyze and identify problem.
  • Good communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair experience in an industrial or commercial setting (chillers, air handlers, compressors, ventilation systems)
  • Fork truck (sit-down, stand-up, and/or reach truck) operation experience with demonstrated safe material handling practices
  • Working knowledge of plumbing systems including installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of piping, valves, fixtures, and drainage systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for mechanical and facility systems
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance experience, including lubrication, inspections, and equipment reliability checks
  • Basic electrical knowledge (motors, controls, sensors, and wiring) to support cross-functional maintenance tasks
  • Welding and fabrication experience (MIG, TIG, or stick) for equipment repair and modification
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices in an industrial environment
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (nuclear, manufacturing, or energy) with strict procedural compliance
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced maintenance environment
