Under limited supervision, performs skilled mechanical work in the routine maintenance and repair of vehicles owned by the Solid Waste Department, the County’s General Fund, and/or Emergency Management and Emergency Medical fleet. Employee is responsible for routine servicing of both diesel and gasoline engines. If applicable, employee is responsible for moving and allocating fleet resources to ensure adequate availability across the General Fund and EMS system of required vehicles. Must be available to advise and diagnosis County departments on maintenance/repair issue with General Fund fleet.
