About The Position
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., the makers of YellaWood Pressure-Treated Pine, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy machinery, tools, and parts (often 20-100 lbs)
- Basic understanding of tools, machinery, and automotive systems.
- Punctuality, reliability, and a strong desire to learn new skills.
Responsibilities
- Move vehicles, fetch parts, handle inventory, and assist with, or perform under supervision, oil changes, lubrication, and tire repairs.
- Assist with logging maintenance, repair records, and inventory use.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including cleaning tools, equipment, and floors.
- Assist in dismantling, repairing, and assembling equipment, engines, and parts, including brake pads, hoses, belts, and batteries.
- Ensure safety by following all company policies, including safety rules, procedures, and Lock-out / Tag-out procedures.
- Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted. Maintain complete records of work performed using software, work orders, and detailed logs and have good communication skills across all groups/departments.
