About The Position

Our London branch is a busy, team-oriented shop in our Southwest region that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available as well as maintaining a flow of information on that equipment for both the rental staff and the sales staff. Our service team is critical to the success of our customer relationships.

Requirements

An experienced technician, or 2nd/3rd year apprentice with the ability to diagnose, perform failure analysis, and repair of Large booms, Scissors, and Telehandlers;
Existing knowledge of Aerial and Material Handling Electrical and Hydraulic and Powertrain systems;
Hands on experience in the repair and service/maintenance requirements for various types of booms, scissors and telehandler type equipment;
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with company and factory standards;
Ability to work independently, and in a team atmosphere;
Good communication and people skills;
Strong time management and organizational skills;
Flexible work schedule available;
Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting; as heavy lifting will be required frequently;
Your own tools are required.

Nice To Haves

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with Genie, Cat, JLG, MEC, Snorkel and Skyjack Equipment;
Apprentices are encouraged to apply;

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized work station;
Troubleshoot and estimate costs of repairs;
Verify and inspect rental equipment to ensure proper functioning and to detect faults and avoid malfunctions;
Adjust equipment and repairs or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools;
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure manufacturers' specifications compliance;
Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on equipment;
Service attachments and working tools;
Order parts as needed;
Complete different service reports.
Operate and maintain all shop equipment and ensure a safe, clean & organized shop area;
All other duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman and Service Manager;
All other duties as assigned by the Branch & Service Managers.
