About The Position

This position is responsible for understanding and responding to internal guests' needs with friendly, respectful, and understandable communication. The role involves providing consistent, timely, and accurate information, using outlined service behaviors, and meeting department service standards. A team player is essential, cooperating with colleagues within and across departments, and speaking positively about the company, co-workers, and guests. The starting rate for this position is $30.25/hr.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s license and must be able to obtain a CER License.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Trade school training or approved apprenticeship program mandatory.
• Requires a minimum of four years’ experience as a Journeyman Electrician, Plumber, H.V.A.C, Mechanic, Ground Support, Maintenance and Machinist.
• Must be able to read and evaluate blueprints as related to applicable trade.

Responsibilities

• Responds to routine maintenance calls as required.
• Completes duties as assigned or by regular Preventive Maintenance schedule within the scope of the General Maintenance shop.
• Returns incomplete work service requests to office with explanation for incompletion.
• Adheres to safe employee practices.
• Assists with training of the Apprentice Engineer.
• Lifts and moves tools and parts as related to applicable trade.
• Preparation of work area to include movement of furniture/obstructions.
• Keeps Lead informed of inventory of all materials and equipment necessary to perform job duties.
• Completes special assignments for management as requested.
