About The Position

TIC is looking for a Mechanic Foreman for their project located in Savannah, GA. This role requires a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, with the ability to lead and supervise craft workers. The position involves diagnosing and repairing various heavy construction equipment, including hydraulic, electric, and power train systems. Experience with specific equipment brands and diagnostic systems is essential.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Must be able to maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of heavy construction equipment including hydraulic, electric, and power train systems.
Experience working with the following equipment: Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, Takeuchi.
Experience working with the following diagnostic systems: CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, Diesel Laptop.
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Have a working knowledge of the scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals and job cost management systems.
Must have required tools.

Responsibilities

Maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of heavy construction equipment including hydraulic, electric, and power train systems.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under his/her supervision.
Perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of work assigned.
Train/teach safety practices, policies and procedures.
Understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under his/her supervision and management/supervision.
Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
Perform other duties as required.
