Mechanic - Facility Building and Grounds (Maintenance)

Complete assigned tasks relating to facilities maintenance including but not limited to outside grounds maintenance and maintenance of building systems. Daily work conditions include both inside and outside work environments. Perform duties which include functions on roofs, tanks, platforms, and associated heights. Perform general maintenance such as plumbing, painting, hose fabrication, equipment inspections, equipment repair and equipment installation. Ability to safely use measuring equipment, hand tools, power tools and other related equipment to perform daily tasks. Ability to work with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to capture preventative maintenance tasks, work orders, and work requests. Assist Utilities, Wastewater, and Maintenance departments as needed. Assists vendors and contractors with onsite services. Operates fork trucks and scissor lifts on a routine basis. Comply with plant GMP and safety programs.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- 2-5 years of working experience in facilities maintenance
- Possess basic mechanical skills with experience in facilities maintenance
- Able to read and comprehend technical manuals and prints
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
