About The Position

This position operates independently and does not direct the work of other maintenance personnel. Work will be done collaboratively with the maintenance team and there may be some management of contractors based on business needs. This is a hands-on role responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and operational duties to support facility equipment, buildings, and grounds. The role ensures that all physical assets are safe, functional, and maintained to support overall business operations and objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience with hand and power tools required
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, and/or metal work
  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, skid loaders (CDL a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • Valid CDL
  • Fabrication or welding experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs
  • Diagnose issues and complete repairs related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on facility equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, trailers, and shop machinery
  • Maintain and service small equipment such as golf carts, scooters, and power tools
  • Maintain exterior areas including snow removal, lawn care, weed control, and general property cleanup
  • Perform seasonal maintenance such as gutter cleaning, gravel grading, and pothole repair
  • Ensure overall property appearance, safety, and functionality across multiple areas
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, equipment, and facilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain clean, organized work environments
  • Report safety concerns and maintenance needs to management in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services
  • Maintain maintenance records, complete reports, and track work performed
  • Support various departments as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Limited business travel to assist with larger equipment removal projects
