About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of heavy equipment and farm machinery. This role requires a commitment to safety, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer service-oriented mindset.

Requirements

• Proven experience in diesel engine repair or related fields is required.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices and heavy equipment operation is essential.
• Strong knowledge of air brake systems, electrical systems, and schematics.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to weld and perform suspension work is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
• Weld and suspend components as necessary to ensure structural integrity and functionality.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and air brake systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
