About The Position

Paratransit, Inc. is seeking applications for a full-time Bus Mechanic (Entry-Level). This role involves performing routine preventive maintenance and basic repair work on buses, vehicles, and other equipment. The Mechanic C will work under close supervision, assisting with inspections and repairs, and will be responsible for preventive maintenance tasks and supporting more complex maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement upon hire.
• ASE Certification or successful completion of related field certification, or 1-2 years of work experience.
• Must be reliable and responsible.
• Ability to learn the operation and repair characteristics of buses, trucks, vans, automobiles, and other equipment.
• Familiarity with mechanic tools, materials, and practices.
• Must pass a drug test (including marijuana).
• Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must pass a post-job offer physical.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuel engines is a plus.
• ASE Certification is preferred but not required.
