About The Position
The Mechanic Assistant supports maintenance and shop operations. This hands-on role is ideal for someone eager to build mechanical skills while working alongside experienced technicians. The Mechanic Assistant works in a faced paced environment with an adapting schedule based on the cruise ship schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on equipment and vehicles
- Perform basic maintenance tasks (oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, etc.)
- Assist with equipment inspections and preventive maintenance schedules
- Keep workshop organized, clean, and safety compliant
- Help track parts inventory and order supplies as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Perform other tasks assigned by Diesel Mechanic
