About The Position

SSI Petroleum, located in Winter Haven, Florida, is looking for a Mechanic Assistant to join their team. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical/electrical systems, maintaining various equipment, and performing preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles. Requirements

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair simple mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ability to keep accurate records of tasks.
• Possess a clean CDL Class B license.
• Physically able to climb ladders and lift heavy objects routinely.
• Detail-oriented, team player with strong communications skills.
• Motivated to learn.
• Willing to work weekends as needed and flexible with schedule.
• An energetic, motivated, eager, positive-minded individual who desires to be part of growing operations.
• Must be willing to complete a background and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Hazmat endorsement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair simple mechanical/electrical systems.
• Keep accurate records of repair tasks.
• Assemble, maintain, and repair portable tanks, pumps, motors, power generation, and hydraulic equipment.
• Assist maintenance mechanic with duties such as changing engine oil, fluids, and repairing flat tires.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on fleet equipment.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
• Safely operate multiple vehicles and most heavy mobile equipment.
• Travel between various branches and job sites throughout South Florida as needed.
