About The Position

Robert Wright Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking to add a Preventative Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice to the team in Glenmont. This role is for individuals with mechanical aptitude and a drive to learn and grow with a team. The company is in a stable industry and offers year-round employment with weekly pay. The priority is to hire mechanics who care about the safety of drivers and the service provided to the community.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude, a drive to learn and grow with a team.
Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

Welding/fabrication experience, a major plus

Responsibilities

Assists experienced mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repairs, learning the trade under supervision.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment
Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and lubrication
Assist with brakes inspections, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other key components
Identify potential issues and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic
Maintain accurate service records and reports
Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety regulations
Assist with minor repairs and support the mechanic team as needed
