About The Position

Dematic is actively looking for a Mechanic 2 to join our manufacturing team in Salt Lake City! Join a practical team where your mechanical abilities directly affect every stage from assembly to delivery. In this position, you will handle complex sub-assemblies and finished products, read blueprints, assist with testing, and help provide quality solutions to clients both onsite and offsite. Requirements

High School diploma required.
Effectively identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to tackle them in situations where the problem is more difficult and complex.
Operate forklifts and cranes as the need arises.
Ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, and the like, with the ability to reach up to 120 ft.
Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
Work in areas subject to hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, and chemicals.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or equivalent experience / certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out semi-complex mechanical duties related to both sub-assemblies and final product preparation for testing.
Assist in the loading and shipping processes involved with the final product.
Interpret blueprints and schematics, recommending engineering changes as necessary.
Help with the set-up procedures necessary for functional testing of the product.
Prepare and load final products for shipment.
