About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Physical Plant Services invites applications for the position of Mechanic 2 – Bus Driver. This position is responsible for planning efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals, provide customer service, and maintain the recreational vehicle. Duties include driving, cleaning and servicing the unit, maintaining the onboard generator and preparing the vehicle for winter and performing other tasks assigned by the Mechanic Supervisor A.

Requirements

• Valid Louisiana Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Transport Endorsement
• Able to be certified through the Southeastern Defensive Driving Course
• Valid Refrigeration Certification
• Two years of experience as a mechanic
