About The Position

Empower Rental Group is hiring a Mechanic 2 in Foley, AL! Empower Rental Group is a family of local equipment rental providers across the Southeastern US. We began with 3 locations in 2021 with the goal of being the difference in the equipment rental industry by doing everything differently. We now have over 36 locations, and we are adding a Level 2 Mechanic to our team in the Foley, AL location!

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and the Ability to Drive Company Vehicles per Insurance Requirements may be required on a case-by-case basis, depending on branch needs.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills – for both internal and external customers.
  • Exhibits average computer skills.
  • Completes rental equipment preparation by the delivery date.
  • Maintains a ready line.
  • Achieves quality standards.
  • Must have own basic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares rental equipment for delivery.
  • Makes appropriate modifications and repairs to units before delivery.
  • Cleans units before delivery.
  • Repairs and cleans equipment upon return from customer sites.
  • Completes service calls on units currently located at customer sites as assigned.
  • Completes preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Performs general yard work such as cleaning or preparing areas of work.
  • Cleans Equipment.
  • Assists customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
  • Makes notes on rental tags.
  • Assists customers with questions/customer service as applicable.
  • Assists other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
  • Cleans up the yard and shop area.
  • Performs some minor diagnoses of issues with the fleet.
  • May perform repairs on the small fleet.
  • Maintains a safe work environment.
  • Performs job functions safely at all times.
  • Demonstrates behaviors aligned with Company’s Core Values at all times.
  • Assists in driving a continuous improvement strategy within the business to result in ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
