About The Position

This full-time position is with Cargill’s protein and salt business in Fort Worth, Texas. The Meat Pump Operator - Cook sets up and operates short-cycle machinery, monitors production, and makes adjustments to meet product specifications. The role also involves basic machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, production and quality recordkeeping, operating powered mobile equipment, and preparing finished product for movement. The position is on the second shift, from 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM, and pays $23.70 per hour. The work environment may range from cold to warm. Relocation reimbursement is not included.

Requirements

Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to work in a cold-to-warm environment.
Ability to work with a variety of hand tools.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to perform basic math.

Responsibilities

Set up similar machines with limited setup requirements.
Feed materials into machines, operate and monitor short-cycle machine operations with frequent guidance, and make adjustments to ensure product specifications are met.
Use hand and power tools for preventive maintenance and to troubleshoot basic machine issues; escalate broader machine issues.
Track production and quality records manually and electronically.
Operate powered mobile equipment, including a forklift or pallet jack.
Unload and prepare finished product for movement.
Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures, including equipment lockout/tag-outs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
