About The Position

Perform general product preparation, cleanup, and stock work in the Meat department while providing customer service. Requirements

Responsibilities

Cut, grind, slice, prepare, process, trim, tenderize, seal, package, wrap, bag, price, prefabricate, date, label, scale, merchandise, sell, and serve meat products in accordance with company policies.
Keep department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained.
Stock and display meat items safely and according to company standards.
Check product quality and ensure products are properly rotated and fresh.
Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
Keep carts, tools, and supplies in designated areas and organized.
Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
Maintain good customer and associate relations and communicate effectively with customers and fellow associates.
Unload trucks, sort orders, and place products in the proper cooler location.
Wash and sanitize equipment according to company and health department policies and procedures.
Make a friendly impression on customers; promptly and cheerfully wait on customers at the counter, greet them, and provide good-quality foods.
Support store sales and profits in conjunction with retail operations and marketing programs.
Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
Follow company policies and procedures, particularly those concerning a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment and manage conflict reasonably, cooperatively, and without confrontation.
Act honestly and with integrity regarding customer and business information.
Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve customer and business issues.
