Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent required
- Basic kitchen skills; familiar with food preparation.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Efficiency and expertise in using cutting knives and tools
- Ability to properly communicate with co-workers and customers
- Ability to follow the positions responsibilities and guidelines
- Safe cutting techniques
- Multitasking capabilities
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
- Vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Stocking merchandise in both the fresh and frozen cases
- Follows established department procedures for receiving incoming shipments
- Product pricing
- Ensures product's quality, protections, accuracy and proper rotation in coolers
- Rewraps meat packages as needed
- Constant meat cutting with knife and/or saw machine
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements
- Ensures great customer service
