About The Position

The Meat Cutter Apprentice works alongside experienced meat cutters to learn how to cut, trim, and prepare a variety of meat products. The role assists with setting up displays, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and providing customer service. It is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment that includes on-the-job training and mentorship. No prior meat-cutting experience is required.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn meat-cutting skills through on-the-job training and mentorship.
• Reliable, hardworking work ethic and commitment to learning and contributing to the team.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation and safe handling practices for raw meat.
• Friendly, helpful customer-service attitude and ability to answer product-related questions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in refrigerated environments.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain clean, organized workspaces.
• Willingness to partner with fellow associates and contribute to a positive store culture.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to use meat department tools and equipment.
