About The Position

As a Meat Cutter Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced meat cutters to learn how to cut, trim, and prepare a variety of meat products. You will assist with setting up displays, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and providing customer service. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment. No prior cutting experience is required; on-the-job training and mentorship are provided.

This is an entry-level position with advancement opportunity. Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on location, experience, qualifications, and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic; reliability and commitment to learning and contributing to the team.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation and safe handling practices for raw meat.
• Friendly, helpful customer service skills and ability to answer product-related questions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in refrigerated environments.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Willingness to work with others and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to use meat department tools and equipment.
• No prior meat-cutting experience is required.
