About The Position

The Meat Cutter Apprentice works alongside experienced meat cutters to learn how to cut, trim, and prepare a variety of meat products. The role assists with setting up displays, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and providing customer service. It is a hands-on, fast-paced entry-level position with on-the-job training and mentorship; prior meat-cutting experience is not required. The position offers advancement opportunities.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn meat-cutting skills through on-the-job training and mentorship.
• Reliable, hardworking work ethic and commitment to learning and contributing to the team.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation and safe handling practices for raw meat.
• Friendly, helpful customer-service approach and ability to answer product-related questions.
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working in refrigerated environments.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Willingness to work with fellow associates as part of a team.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to use meat department tools and equipment.
