The clerk must be capable of recognizing the quality of meats, distinguishing between types and cuts, and assisting with department pricing, rotation, and merchandising to meet company objectives. Maintaining an awareness of competitive activity, pulling outdated products, rewrapping, applying new labels, and staying informed about sale prices and product locations are also key duties. Additionally, the role involves answering guest inquiries promptly and in a friendly manner.
