About The Position

Energy Transfer is seeking a Measurement Technician - Liquids to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining and calibrating various measurement equipment, including meters, samplers, flow computers, and provers, to ensure accurate quality and quantity determination in compliance with operational, partnership, and regulatory requirements. The technician will also be involved in installing new instrumentation, troubleshooting equipment, collecting product samples, and participating in the company's safety program. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience (for Level C).
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience (for Level B).
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience (for Level A).
  • Knowledge of applicable BLM, NDIC, EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API and GPA requirements and procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with our customer base.

Nice To Haves

  • PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Some college or technical trade school is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate facilities in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Perform density verifications using a Pycnometer and/or Hydrometer.
  • Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination.
  • Witness meter performance verifications as performed by third party contractors, as needed.
  • Maintain and operate custody transfer measurement facilities including tank gauging in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Maintain, operate, troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment, including; meters, samplers, flow computers and other peripheral measurement-related devices.
  • Install instrumentation and equipment in new and renovated measurement and/or regulation facilities.
  • Understand system gain/loss processes, ticket writing, etc.
  • Collect product quality samples for Crude or NGL liquids, in compliance with partnership safety and industry guidelines.
  • Actively participate in partnership safety program and initiatives.
