We are currently looking for a Measurement Specialist/Sr. Measurement Specialist for our Centerville, LA location.

Requirements

  • Must live within 30 miles of facility
  • Physical requirements - standing/walking; climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds; bending/stooping/squatting; carrying and lifting items 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet
  • Working conditions - exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures and enclosed spaces
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Problem solving skills and ability to manage filing system
  • History of safe work
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Current Drivers License with clean record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with natural gas pipelines and compressor facilities as well as familiar with DOT 192 Regulations
  • College or technical school degree
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical degree
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical industry related training

Responsibilities

  • Calibration, gas sampling, testing, operation, and maintenance of measurement facilities in assigned area, likely to provide support in adjacent areas, along with project support.
  • Responsible for over-protection systems, maintaining and inspecting valves, flow control valves, pressure control valves, valve actuators, remote capabilities to various types of equipment and maintaining gas conditioning equipment and various analyzers.
  • Environmental, health, safety, and reliability support for natural gas transmission, including recognizing and reporting abnormal and safety-related operating conditions, accident and near-miss reporting, emergency response, regulatory compliance activities, and equipment repair.
  • Participation in emergency and abnormal condition callouts for assigned area.
