About The Position

The Measurement Analyst performs daily analytics associated with the verification and processing of gas and liquid pipeline volumes. This role will include oversight and responsibility for overall measurement accuracy and completeness.

  • Skilled at utilizing spreadsheet functions and formulas for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to use data visualization tools to represent trends and insights from pipeline data effectively. (e.g., dashboards)
  • Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement solutions to ensure data integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to promote open communication and teamwork within the Measurement Analyst team.
  • Ability to design and implement solutions to improve data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 2+ years of related experience.
  • Proficient in using measurement and accounting software (e.g., PGAS, SCADA) for data entry, editing, verification, and archiving.
  • 2+ years of experience with utilizing FlowCal, Excel, TESTit, SCADA.
  • Knowledge of relevant gas and liquid measurement standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects integrated data values and field reports to identify issues and coordinate with measurement personnel for resolution as needed.
  • Uses best practices to analyze and edit data at an hourly, daily and monthly level based on field reports and exception-based evaluation.
  • Sets up new meters as needed in measurement and accounting software.
  • Verifies new meter profiles and telemetry in the PGAS and SCADA system.
  • Ensures meter data is correctly reported and meets or exceeds contract requirements.
  • Reviews monthly gas analysis report for accuracy.
  • Correctly archives, names, and catalogs required meter documentation necessary for auditing procedures.
  • Be familiar with industry measurements standards and company specified contract requirements.
  • Communicates with multiple customers and disciplines across various organizational levels.
  • Creates, schedules, and maintains all daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Constructs and runs queries for validations, exceptions and reporting.
  • Monitors and updates exception report set points as needed to guarantee accuracy of data.
  • Processes month end closing and generates reports for management, accounting, and multiple customers.
  • Provides guidance and training to less experienced team members.
  • Takes a proactive approach to identify and address data quality issues, potentially through automation or improved workflows.
  • Utilizes statistical methods and data visualization tools to identify trends, correlations, and potential areas for optimization in pipeline operations.
  • Analyzes existing workflows and identify opportunities for streamlining or automating tasks.
  • Contributes technical expertise to cross-functional projects related to measurement system upgrades, contract negotiations, or pipeline expansion.
  • Researches and recommends new technologies and software solutions relevant to measurement accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conducts root cause analysis and develops corrective action plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
