Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations.
Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to maintain required records.
Possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate effective oral, written, and electronic communications methods with a diverse group of individuals in a professional manner.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be creative and deal with change and ambiguity.
Ability to promote a positive work culture within the organization; and project a positive image of the organization in the community and to routinely interact with the public.
Ability to work with individuals in diverse living situations and conditions, including ability to work in environments where there is the potential for exposure to animals, second-hand smoke, unpleasant odors, etc.
Must be willing to submit to and pass criminal background checks per agency policy.
Ability to lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis without assistance and navigate un-level terrain and stairs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Maintain appropriate personal hygiene.
Possession of automobile insurance in an amount established by SourcePoint, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to drive in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

Pick-up and delivery of meals.
Packing of delivery bags.
Distribute bags to hub route drivers from the assigned site (if assigned as a hub route driver).
Drive assigned meal routes to ensure uninterrupted service to clients.
Prepare delivery bags for assigned routes, including packing meals, drinks & sides.
Complete pre-delivery van checklist on assigned vehicle to ensure it is maintained in good working order.
Confirm all scheduled routes from hub location are picked up, communicating no shows to Supervisor immediately.
Act as substitute driver on assigned route(s) daily.
Follow meal delivery policies and procedures.
Return delivery bags & temperature control units to appropriate location upon return from routes.
Ensure assigned delivery van is clean with sufficient fuel for the next day’s operations.
Maintain thorough knowledge of customer eligibility for all funding sources, service availability, and all program requirements.
Troubleshoot and train hub route drivers, as required, including assisting with technology.
Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and in-service education programs, as required.
Exhibit an understanding of and commitment to SourcePoint’s pursuit of excellence in customer service.
Act as ambassador of the program by allowing individual ride along guests to experience the impact of the program.
Maintain accurate delivery records which meet funding requirements.
Report any unusual circumstances, safety concerns, or changes in condition of clients that receive meals.
Report any van issues immediately to be addressed by Nutrition Program Supervisor.
