Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Program Supervisor, the Meal Delivery Driver is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of meals, as well as the packing of delivery bags. The Delivery Driver will drive either an assigned agency vehicle or their own vehicle based on vehicle availability. If assigned as a hub route driver, the Meal Driver will distribute bags to hub route drivers from the assigned site. Based on the day’s open routes, the driver will be assigned a meal route to be delivered prior to returning to the hub site to pick up delivery bags. The Delivery Driver will generally be scheduled three to five days per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 am to 2 pm to cover any open meal delivery routes to ensure uninterrupted service to clients. There is a need for flexibility to attend meetings before and after the regular assigned schedule.
