About The Position

Eaton's Power Reliability Division is seeking an ME Technician to join their team at the South Milwaukee, WI facility. This role involves being a machining subject matter expert responsible for programming, proving out, and implementing machining processes that impact production throughout the facility. The technician will be expected to program CNC controllers, identify tooling, design fixturing, and complete standard work. They will also need to understand various work processes and assist manufacturing engineers with departmental projects.

Requirements

High School Diploma from an accredited institution.
Minimum 5+ years of reading machining and engineering prints
Minimum 5+ years of machine set up experience and fixture installation.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Nice To Haves

Experience with operating Mazak, Doosan, and Ganesh machines
Experience programming Fanuc and Mazak controllers and editing G&M code
Formal technical training or degree in manufacturing trades
Experience with CAD/CAM and solid modeling software

Responsibilities

Assist or lead the training and development of other machinists as assigned
Maintain setup sheets and other standard work documents
Curate the electronic copies of the standard work documents
Make programs and adjustments for CNC machines
Identify workstation bottlenecks and redirect workflow
Responsible for first line trouble shooting including maintenance of lathes and mills
Operate and maintain multiple types of lathes and mills for trial runs, and fixture creation
Assist quality and engineering teams with troubleshooting, and new product development
Partner with production planning to align various work centers to meet production demands
Coordinate procurement of tooling and fixturing
