About The Position

JST is a global leader in wet process and precision cleaning solutions for the semiconductor, biomedical, and advanced manufacturing industries. From concept through installation, we design and build custom wet bench systems that help customers solve complex manufacturing challenges around the world. We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of custom wet processing equipment. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys turning concepts into manufacturable solutions and collaborating across engineering and production teams to bring systems to life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in equipment manufacturing, industrial systems, or semiconductor-related industries
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD design
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plumbing diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical systems and automation-related equipment, including process tanks, plumbing systems, and supporting assemblies for custom wet processing tools
  • Develop engineering documentation, fabrication drawings, approval drawings, and design layouts that meet customer requirements and industry standards
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of system specifications by evaluating design feasibility and incorporating changing project requirements
  • Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), manufacturing routings, and work instructions to support production activities
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to resolve technical questions, investigate discrepancies, and implement design updates as needed
  • Verify products are built according to engineering specifications and ensure drawing, BOM, and routing changes are properly documented
  • Coordinate with engineering team members to communicate design constraints, solve technical challenges, and support project execution
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule to meet manufacturing timelines and customer ship dates
  • Assist estimating and quoting efforts through design concepts, component selection, and manufacturing cost inputs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support additional engineering projects as business needs require
