About The Position

The MDS Nurse is responsible for timely and accurate completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and care management process from admission through discharge. The work must follow company policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, certification guidelines, and other applicable requirements. Duties include the Minimum Data Set and admission and discharge tracking. With direction from the VP of Clinical Reimbursement, the nurse may coordinate clinical department information systems operations and education.

Requirements

Hold a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN or RN in the state.
Have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Have working knowledge of managed care rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Be able to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures needed to provide quality care.

Nice To Haves

Three years of MDS experience in a nursing care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete the RAI and care management process accurately and on time from admission to discharge.
Complete the Minimum Data Set and admission and discharge tracking in accordance with company policies, procedures, federal and state requirements, certification guidelines, and other applicable requirements.
May coordinate clinical department information systems operations and education under the direction of the VP of Clinical Reimbursement.
