About The Position

The MDS Nurse is responsible for completing the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and care management processes accurately and on time, from admission through discharge. Work must comply with company policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, certification guidelines, and other applicable requirements. The role includes Minimum Data Set documentation and admission and discharge tracking. With direction from the VP of Clinical Reimbursement, the MDS Nurse may coordinate clinical department information systems operations and education.

Requirements

Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN or RN in Louisiana.
Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Working knowledge of managed care rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures needed to provide quality care.

Nice To Haves

Two years of MDS experience in a nursing care facility preferred.

Responsibilities
