MDR III Northeast Squad Conduct research and analysis to evaluate new seed and crop protection products, driving product advancement and technological innovation; Perform in-depth field research on pre-commercial products and crop systems to generate high-quality data that supports regulatory processes and defines usage parameters; Collect and analyze field trial data to inform future product decisions and strengthen the value proposition of the portfolio; Collaborate closely with R&D teams, academics, and cross-functional partners on new product development, assessing and evaluating new agricultural technologies for feasibility and impact; Develop and test prototypes with cross-functional teams to validate performance, while effectively communicating research findings and insights to internal and external stakeholders; Support intellectual property management by identifying and protecting innovations that emerge from field and market development activities. This role will be part of the Northeast Squad.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science
  • Strong agronomic knowledge of vegetable crop production and the ability to convert data into practical knowledge and solutions for growers
  • Demonstrated strong customer focus and sales orientation, with the ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (minimum 50% English written/verbal)
  • Self-motivated and assertive with a strong results orientation
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the territory, with occasional national travel
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working across regional markets in protected crops, processing, and open field crops
  • Bachelor of Science with 5 years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development, or an R&D-related role, or a Master of Science with 3 years, or a PhD with 1 year of relevant experience in Plant Sciences or Agribusiness (agronomy, plant pathology, weed sciences, or a closely related discipline)

Responsibilities

  • Be the technical expert within the commercial organization, partnering across functions (R&D, Marketing, Sales, etc.) to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and drive adoption of technologies and products
  • Take complete ownership of trialing and activities for late-stage varieties (e.g., phase 4B, 5X) and market extensions in local territories, partnering with Sales and R&D to build and execute territory plans for all trialing and demand generation activities
  • Use strategic trialing and robust data to position products effectively, defend and grow market share, and support early R&D pipeline knowledge transfer into Market Development
  • Integrate all testing and experiential data and use digital data collection methods to communicate product positioning and performance in real time to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical support to the commercial organization, including handling complaints, reviewing communications and marketing materials, supporting pricing exercises, and training Sales and Marketing on positioning of base, new, and market extension varieties
  • Leverage internal and external networks to access market opportunities, trends, and technical information, influencing cross-functional decisions, driving portfolio decisions and pipeline advancements, and providing leadership of specific crop segments across the region
  • Provide practical agronomic recommendations to enhance product performance under varied production environments and share responsibility with Sales to achieve or exceed established regional and territory sales targets
