MDM Architect
About The Position
Derex Technologies Inc is seeking an MDM Architect for a contract role. The position is remote and open to candidates in the USA and Canada. The MDM Architect will be responsible for assessing current data, integration, and governance maturity, validating business vision and acquisition-readiness drivers, and confirming scope, success criteria, and known constraints. Key responsibilities include identifying priority domains and enterprise entities, assessing mastering and source-of-truth needs, analyzing key source and consumption systems, identifying key users and processes that will consume data from MDM, and defining CRUD processes for all enterprise entities. The role also involves defining MDM architecture, including systems/use cases/processes that will ingest data from MDM as a feedback loop, aligning conceptual architecture with key use cases, defining target MDM logical architecture, evaluating entity resolution processes (matching, merging, survivorship), defining the buy vs. build version of MDM, defining physical architecture with tech stack options, and defining a phased implementation roadmap.
Requirements
- Strong experience as an MDM architect and MDM Data Modeler
- Implemented MDM tools like Informatica/ Reltio/ Profesee/ Semarchy xDM etc. Or custom build MDM.
- Strong understanding of Data entities like Party model in Insurance domain
- Understanding of data quality and Match-merge modelling by entities.
- Strong in SQL, ETL tech stack, Cloud services (AWS /Azure), Python, Pyspark.
Responsibilities
- Assess current data, integration and governance maturity

- Analyze key Source & Consumptions systems by in-scope data domain
- Identify key Users and processes that will consume data from MDM
- Identify Master authoring system (system where new record is created) for all enterprise entities
- Define CRUD processes for all enterprise entities
- Define MDM architecture
- Define systems/use cases/processes that will ingest data from MDM as a feedback
- Align the conceptual architecture with key uses cases
- Define Target MDM logical architecture
- Evaluate Entity resolution process (Matching/merging/survivorship) for Master entities
- Define Buy Vs Build version of MDM (comparison metrics)
- Define Physical architecture with Tech stack options
- Define phased implementation roadmap
