As an MCI Stabilization Clinician, you will play a vital role within the Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention (AMCI) and Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention (YMCI) programs by providing short-term, community-based stabilization services to individuals following a behavioral health needs assessment. Working closely with the mobile crisis team, the MCI Stabilization Clinician delivers therapeutic interventions, safety planning, symptom monitoring, and individualized support designed to reduce risk, strengthen coping skills, promote ongoing stability during the post-crisis period, or proactively prevent acute crisis. The MCI Stabilization Clinician conducts face-to-face, telehealth, or telephonic follow-up appointments, collaborates with individuals and families to identify and achieve stabilization goals, and assists with linkage to community resources and ongoing treatment services.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field (required)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required (community-based role)
Flexible, adaptable, and committed to BHN’s mission and values

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience working in crisis services or acute behavioral health (preferred)
Licensed - LICSW, LCSW or licensed eligible - LMHC (preferred)
Ability to conduct rapid clinical assessments and respond calmly in high-stress situations

Responsibilities

Provides short-term stabilization services for individuals following a Mobile Crisis Intervention assessment, including adults for up to 72 hours and youth for up to 7 days post-assessment. Stabilization activities will include, and are not limited to, therapeutic interventions targeting the essence of distress pertaining to the need expressed in the initial encounter.
Conducts community-based, telehealth, or telephonic follow-up appointments to support crisis stabilization and recovery.
Enters detailed, concise, and clinically accurate documentation, supporting diagnosis and disposition decisions.
Schedules and manages follow-up appointments, ensuring services are delivered within established program timelines and standards.
Works collaboratively with existing providers and support networks; assists in the seamless transition from crisis stabilization to referred providers and holistic supports.
Conducts comprehensive, face-to-face, community-based clinical risk and stabilization assessments.
