The Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) EMS Co-Response Clinician partners with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to provide behavioral health assessment, crisis intervention, de-escalation, stabilization, and disposition planning for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises in the community. The clinician responds with EMS to behavioral health-related emergency calls and supports safe, clinically appropriate alternatives to emergency department use or law enforcement involvement whenever possible.
