About The Position

Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a 1st Shift Co-Response Crisis Clinician (Master’s Level, Licensed or Licensed Eligible) to join their team. This role is part of the CHD Mobile Crisis Team and is embedded within the South Hadley, Belchertown, and Granby, MA Police Departments. The Co-Response Clinician will support Police Departments in responding efficiently to behavioral health calls and follow-ups. This position provides services within the CHD Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention (AMCI) and Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention (YMCI) programs, as well as the conjoined CBHC Outpatient Clinic and Crisis Stabilization Programs. The clinician will conduct crisis triage, evaluations, disposition recommendations, follow-up interventions, stabilization planning, and referral planning for immediate resources. They will assess needs, determine the least restrictive level of care, and arrange treatment transition and engagement. The role requires knowledge of and ability to recommend and utilize internal agency and external community resources for intervention planning. Evaluations will take place in the communities served, in various settings. The clinician will have dedicated space within the Police Departments for evaluations, team-building with police staff, and to ensure rapid support to the police department.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or related field.
LCSW, LICSW or LMHC license is required.
Ability to pass a driving record and background screen.

Strong written skills and experience with Electronic Health Record Management.
Must be able to demonstrate high level of skill in therapeutic engagement of diverse clients, hold fidelity to evidence-based practices that match the presenting problem, and good diagnostic skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

Support Police Departments’ speedy and efficient response to behavioral health calls and follow-ups.
Provide crisis triage, evaluations, disposition recommendations, follow up interventions, stabilization planning, and referral planning for immediate resources.
Assess needs, determine least restrictive level of care, and arrange treatment transition and engagement.
Recommend and/or utilize the breadth of internal agency and external community resources in intervention planning.
Conduct evaluations in the communities served in a wide variety of settings.
Conduct evaluations, team-build with PD staff, and be available as quickly as possible to support PD.
