About The Position

This position involves sponsoring various school extra-curricular programs, specifically focusing on the MCHS Girls Basketball program. The role requires promoting the program within the school and community, planning and organizing activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of participants. The Director of Operations will also be responsible for managing participant eligibility, providing guidance, and recommending necessary equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate or a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university.
  • Successful completion a criminal records check.
  • Current certification in first aid and CPR.
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of various extra-curricular activities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Promote extra-curricular programs in the schools and community.
  • Plan the assigned extra-curricular program.
  • Organize and supervise practices and meetings.
  • Teach individual fundamental skills of the extra-curricular activity.
  • Check eligibility of participants, including insurance coverage and parent consent.
  • Provide students a proper role model, emotional support, patience, a friendly attitude and general guidance.
  • Recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies as appropriate for the health, safety, and welfare of participants.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics.
  • Follow all McCracken County Public Schools Policies and Procedures.
