About The Position

The MCHS Football Youth League Coordinator is responsible for sponsoring various school extra-curricular programs. This role involves promoting these programs within the schools and the community, planning assigned programs, and organizing and supervising practices and meetings. The coordinator will teach fundamental skills related to the activity, ensure participant eligibility including insurance and parent consent, and serve as a positive role model for students. Additionally, the role includes recommending equipment purchases for participant safety and welfare, performing related duties, maintaining a professional appearance and attendance, adhering to the Professional Code of Ethics, and following all McCracken County Public Schools Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. or a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university.
Successful completion a criminal records check.
Current certification in first aid and CPR.
Knowledge of fundamentals of various extra-curricular activities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Promote extra-curricular programs in the schools and community.
Plan the assigned extra-curricular program.
Organize and supervise practices and meetings.
Teach individual fundamental skills of the extra-curricular activity.
Check eligibility of participants, including insurance coverage and parent consent.
Provide students a proper role model, emotional support, patience, a friendly attitude and general guidance.
Recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies as appropriate for the health, safety, and welfare of participants.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Maintain regular attendance.
Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics.
Follow all McCracken County Public Schools Policies and Procedures.
