About The Position

Crimson Education is expanding its physician‑led Medical Admissions Division and is seeking a high‑impact MCAT Tutor. This role involves delivering exceptional instruction and contributing to the development of Crimson’s MCAT prep ecosystem from the ground up. The ideal candidate excels in teaching, enjoys creating high‑quality learning resources, and wants to shape a new, premium MCAT offering within a fast‑growing global education company. The MCAT Tutor will provide personalized, high‑quality MCAT instruction to pre‑med students while also contributing to the development of Crimson’s MCAT curriculum, tools, and learning materials. As Crimson is launching this capability from scratch, the tutor will play a foundational role in building the structure, content, and student experience of our MCAT program.

Requirements

• 520+ MCAT score
• Minimum 2 years of MCAT tutoring experience, ideally in a 1:1 or small‑group setting.
• Strong teaching ability with proven student score gains.
• Deep familiarity with AAMC frameworks and MCAT cognitive skills.
• Ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging educational content.
• Strong communication skills and a student‑centered mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to keep students engaged, accountable, and on task during 1:1 sessions, including managing pacing, motivation, and weekly follow‑through.
• Comfort working in a fast‑moving, startup‑like environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, personalized instruction across all MCAT sections, adapting teaching methods to each student’s learning style, pace, and score goals.
• Conduct initial diagnostic reviews, identify content gaps, and create individualized study plans that drive measurable score improvement.
• Provide continuous guidance on test‑taking strategy, pacing, study habits, and weekly accountability to keep students on track.
• Build structured lesson plans for each student, including targeted milestones, content review, and strategy reinforcement.
• Monitor student performance, adjust plans based on data, and communicate progress clearly to students and families.
• Create foundational MCAT materials such as practice questions, section‑specific drills, CARS reasoning walkthroughs, and concise content summaries to support tutoring sessions.
• Collaborate with Crimson’s Medical Admissions team to shape the emerging MCAT prep framework, ensuring materials align with AAMC standards and student needs.
• Review and refine MCAT resources for accuracy, clarity, and instructional effectiveness.
