About The Position

The Finance Rotational Program is a three-year immersive experience designed for recent graduates of undergraduate and MBA programs in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields. Participants will rotate through three distinct functional areas, gaining exposure to the breadth of Corporate Finance and Accounting. Participants may be offered full-time, permanent roles prior to completing the program based on performance and organizational needs. Those not placed early will be formally reviewed at the end of the third year for potential permanent placement within the Finance organization. Final placement is not guaranteed. Participants will contribute hands-on alongside Finance & Accounting teams spanning Western Digital’s global footprint. They will gain exposure to multiple areas of the organization and develop professional skills and business acumen through real-world experience. This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed MBA in Accounting/Finance/Econ or equivalent experience
  • Right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship (e.g., H-1B).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship(s) in a corporate environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerBI or Tableau is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Complete three one-year rotations across key Finance functions such as: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax, Internal Audit, Business Unit Finance, Treasury, Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting, Revenue Accounting.
  • Contribute hands-on alongside Finance & Accounting teams spanning Western Digital’s global footprint.
  • Gain exposure to multiple areas of the organization.
  • Develop professional skills and business acumen through real-world experience.
