About The Position

A forward-thinking secondary school with sixth form in Enfield is seeking a talented and ambitious Maths ECT to join their thriving Mathematics department from September 2026. This is a permanent Maths ECT role within a school rated Good by Ofsted, offering an excellent foundation for an early career practitioner ready to build a long-term career in a school that genuinely invests in its people. This Enfield secondary school and sixth form delivers a challenging Mathematics curriculum from KS3 through to A-Level, with strong GCSE outcomes and a sixth form cohort that regularly progresses to competitive university courses. Requirements

  • Hold British QTS or are in the final stages of a UK-accredited teacher training programme.
  • Graduated with a 2:1 or above in Mathematics from a reputable UK university, ideally Russell Group.
  • Have secondary school teaching experience through UK placements or an ECT year, with evidence of structured lessons and measurable pupil progress.
  • Are confident within a whole-school behaviour framework.
  • Legally entitled to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Applications are open to candidates completing or having recently completed formal UK teacher training only.

Responsibilities

  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, using assessment data to adapt your teaching and track pupil progress week by week.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues throughout your induction year.

Benefits

  • Outer London MPS: £37,870 to £50,474, with UPS up to £56,154.
