About The Position
This position is for a Grade 9-12 Mathematics Teacher specializing in Geometry and Algebra 2 at Kalaheo High School. The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a Program to continue employment with the Department. You must satisfactorily demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements each year. It is your responsibility to ensure your enrolled program aligns with your teaching line. A valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required upon hire.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Enroll in a Program to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license within 3 years of hire (if not already licensed)
- Satisfactorily demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements each year
- Ensure enrolled program is aligned with the teaching line
- Possess a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire
